Ice Skating 

It’s easy to bemoan Miami’s lack of seasons, particularly this year, when daytime temperatures have barely dropped below 80 degrees and the humidity is still ruining hairdos all over town. But there are ways to get that winter feeling. Think frigid A/C, industrial freezers, and yes, ice skating. Unbeknownst to many, Miami has just such an opportunity in the form of the Scott Rakow Youth Center (2700 Sheridan Ave., Miami Beach). The 12,885-square-foot ice rink has public hours for kids and adults alike, so you can get your skate on in a thoroughly chilly environment — just the excuse you were looking for to wear that killer new scarf from H&M.
