Houston Press' Description
This Austin import is responsible, in large part, for the "gourmet taco" trend – although Torchy's Tacos keeps its tacos low-end on purpose, as with the Trailer Park taco. It's filled with fried chicken and green chiles, and can be made "trashy" by adding queso on request. Better are the standard beef fajita tacos and the cheap, filling breakfast tacos...which are served all day long.
Tips from foursquare
The soda fountain includes Dublin Dr. Pepper (while it lasts) and other uncommon colas.
Have a trashy trailer park taco and enjoy!
Wow. Fantastic queso! Better lots of TexMex places.
PARKING! There is parking on the street behind Torchy's. DO NOT park at the establishments around here, they WILL tow you!
Behold! If you look very very carefully, you can actually get a glimpse of the elusive Torchy's parking space.
