Houston Press' Description

The Rouxpour gives its customers a taste of New Orleans – whether they like it or not. The rowdy restaurant in Sugar Land's Town Square has more of a sports bar climate, but the dark roux-based gumbo is authentically excellent. Po-boys and muffalettas, on the other hand, are more sandwiches than anything else, but wash down nicely with a beer. Oysters are recommended only during happy hour, when you won't feel so bad paying 50 cents for something so small.

The gumbo was one of the best ever. For appetizers, try the seafood fondue and the spinach together... fantastic combo!

Hit the Sunday brunch with great food and blues in the patio
