Description

Houston Press' Description

The second location of one-woman enchilada empress Sylvia Casares, the Woodway location makes an ideal lunch destination for Galleria workers, post-church meal for Second Baptists and dinner date for people in the surrounding Memorial Villages. But it's also worth the drive for those who want to seek out Sylvia's excellent enchiladas without having to drive all the way out to the original location at Westheimer and Dairy Ashford. The upscale interior matches the neighborhood, as do the prices. But at least the Mexican food at Sylvia's Enchilada Kitchen — like the classic cheese "Refugio" enchiladas and the succulent mesquite-smoked quail — backs the prices up.

The famed Sylvia is not only good at packing people in her restaurant, she also teaches cooking classes…that's how you know she's legit. [Eater 38 Member]
