Description

Houston Press' Description

Known for their cheap combos, this little sandwich shop, ironically located right next to an outpost of the largest sandwich chain, Subway, is another spot for downtown lunchers to head when they're feeling faint. You'll find a cozy little place with counter service and an array of traditional sandwiches like ham and cheese, tuna salad, pimiento cheese, corned beef, pastrami and all the other usuals. While you won't get a fancypants, specialty sandwich, you will get lunch on the cheap complete with a bag of chips and a canned drink. Simple lunch, simple price.

They have 2 sandwich lines but only 1 is ever open at a time so the line is always very long between 12:00 & 1:00 pm.

  • Dean B. on 09/27/10
