Spindletop At the Hyatt Regency
Houston, TX 77002
Houston Press' Description
After a two-year hiatus spent repairing Hurricane Ike-related damage, downtown's Spindletop is back. The restaurant, which is located in a copper-clad tower 34 stories up the Hyatt Regency, still specializes in the same luxuriously upscale service and impeccable food that it has since it originally opened in 1972. The tower makes a full 360-degree rotation every 45 minutes, allowing for breathtaking views of the city below. The food, like a cumin-rubbed rack of lamb and tequila-spiked jumbo Gulf shrimp, is equally breathtaking, if very pricey.
