Description

Houston Press' Description

Simply Pho is so much more than simply pho. In fact, the pho isn't even the best thing at the restaurant. The extensive menu features everything from fried rice to avocado smoothies, and though it's not the best Vietnamese food to be found in Houston, it's cheap, reliable and mostly delicious. For a real treat, try the banh canh hue, a soup of slippery noodles and shrimp, or the mi quang, a delightful bowl of yellow turmeric noodles with shrimp and pork topped with delicate sesame rice crisps. The servers at Simply Pho are not always the most attentive, but the great prices and a few stellar dishes make up for any empty water glasses or misplaced checks.

You'd think this place is WAY TOO CLEAN to be a Vietnamese restaurant but it's legit. Free Vietnamese Coffee on Tuesdays! Boogie
