Description

Houston Press' Description

Once one of the pinnacles of activity on the old Richmond Strip, Sam's Boat still manages to keep the party going. A favorite of sports fans, there are several HD TVs spread around the restaurant. Sam's Boat serves a refreshing variety of food, from standard pub fare to po-boys and seafood. When the weather gets warmer, be sure to order some crawfish, grab a beer and people-watch on the large front deck. Get there earlier in the evening to ensure free parking.

Tips from foursquare

Never had a problem with Sam's Boat before... Until tonight. Got charged 18% gratuity for a party of 5 & the service sucked! My advice: go to Big Woodrow's down the street (Chimney Rock & Richmond).

  • Tosha B. on 03/31/12

    Service sucks!

  • Jamie G. on 02/25/13

Good crawfish, but way over priced for small mud bugs.

  • Terrence H. on 09/11/11

Go for lunch, meals are $6.00 and under. There almost 50 cents and happy hour everyday. Also ask for Ashley the Asian bartender/waitress she is the best.
