Description

Houston Press' Description

Ruchi's Taqueria has many locations in Houston, like many successful taquerias, but with one great selling point: They are open 24 hours. Quietly sitting in a strip mall in the heart of the galleria, the dining room is dotted with checkered floors and neon decorations, which can be a welcome change to the Galleria’s gilded glitz. Ruchi's menu has a good selection of taqueria basics, from taco stand standards to sizzling carne asada plates, all at un-Galleria prices. There’s also a good selection of seafood entrees. This particular Ruchi's location boasts WiFi and occasional live music.

Tips from foursquare

  • Jim J. on 10/20/11

Cheap as hell for okay food & mediocre service most of the time, except for a couple of great people. Love the salsa verde with a little salt added.

  • Lance S. on 05/29/11

After you get your food. The service goes down hill.

  • Edith S. on 05/05/11

Their tostadas de pollo are tasty! Just ask for sour cream and cheese on the side if u don't want it smothered.

  • Jim C. on 04/23/13

The food is great but they run out of the smooth hot green sauce late at night.

  • Jim J. on 11/04/11

Food's... okay. Super cheap if u stick with burritos or tacos. Service is actually a bit beter than it used to be, but that ain't sayin' lot...
