Houston Press' Description
It's hard to find, but worth it once you do â because Poppa Burger is one of the few 1950s-era relics left from the era of drive-in hamburger stands. The prices are retro, too: $5 will get you a generously sized burger, a huge order of onion rings or fries and a large soda. Come at breakfast and you can get a bag full of breakfast tacos for the same price. Don't want burgers? Poppa Burger also does pretty great fried shrimp baskets, too. And the best part of all: It's open 24-7.
Tips from foursquare
These burgers taste so good they'll sober you up!
Poppa Burger is cash only...they do not take Credit or Debit Cards.
Double Daddy Burger with Bacon, cheese and jalapeños!!! It's the bomb!!!
Good, cheap breakfast sandwiches at this hole in the wall. They only take cash but are open 24/7.
