Ponzo's Italian Food
Houston, TX 77006
Houston Press' Description
Primarily a takeout joint, this Midtown pizzeria looks the part, with a kitchen that's three times as big as the four-table indoor dining area. (There are also a couple of umbrella-shaded tables outside.) The original Ponzo's was in Pasadena, California, but despite its West Coast roots, the restaurant is very much like an East Coast pizzeria. You have your choice of a great crispy pizza, hot oven-baked Italian subs, or a cold sandwich with Italian cold cuts, lettuce, tomato and vinaigrette.
Tips from foursquare
Try the pepperoni rolls! They are delicious, cheap, and filling. Perfect to start or end a night of drinking.
BEST pizza in Houston. The crust is AMAZING. Seriously, you MUST go or order delivery at least once. That's all it will take. Do it now LOL
The Sicilian, enough said.
Closed on Mondays...since 1950.
A 1 topping slice is $2.55. Good alternative to hitting up a dollar menu.
