Houston Press' Description
Real Polish kielbasa, homemade sauerkraut, kwas soup and three kinds of pierogi are the irresistible lures that bring Houston's Eastern European community to this schmaltzy little Polish restaurant near Spring Branch. Don't even bother trying to get in Polonia on Sunday when the after-church crowd packs the place.
Tips from foursquare
It's like eating in your Polish grandmother's house. Traditional Polish food like pierogis, house made kielbasa, cabbage rolls and bigos will keep you warm in the winter. [Eater 38 Member]
Don't judge the book by its cover. This place is an incredible find. Food is good and the inside is so cozy - full bar too.
Ordered the polish kielbasa with grilled onions and sauerkraut. It tasted like I'd gone camping in the woods... aka delicious. The potato pancakes were pretty fantastic too. I'll definitely be back!
Combination plate is huge and fun to share. If nothing else, you can't leave without trying an order of pierogies.
The lady that runs the place got my wifes order wrong..she orderd the perogi and got the potato pancakes...they were awful...i got the schnitzel it was ok but nothing spectacular.
