Houston Press' Description

The favorite restaurant of Houston's Beijing expat community, this is the place for Peking duck, Peking noodles, meat pies and all the other favored delicacies of the Chinese capital. The lunch special's soup, egg roll and entrée format may be Westernized, but the food is anything but, and you don't have to ask them to make it extra-spicy. This may be the best deal on Chinese lunch in the whole city.

This is the real thing. Except for the doughy buns for the duck it is outstanding. There are other duck places in Houston but this one is truly authentic. Just brush off Asian diners who stare at anyone who comes through the door who isn't Asian. CALL EARLY and make your reservation as they exhaust their supply every day?

One of the best places to get Peking Duck in Houston, but call ahead of time to be sure they haven't run out.

  • Bethany W. on 06/18/11

Great Peking duck! The trick is arriving or calling ahead by 5pm.

  • Suzanne on 10/07/12

The service and food were awesome! 38.00 for Peking duck, dumplings, egg rolls, buns, soup, and a soda!

  • Julia A. on 03/23/14

Peking duck is delicious and comes with a family sized duck soup. Come with friends or come hungry. And call ahead of time to reserve a duck.

  • Daniel K. on 07/05/13

Small place but the food (especially the duck) pack a good punch. Recommend it.
