Houston Press' Description

Along with Rudi Lechner's, Old Heidelberg has been a go-to spot since 1973 for Houstonians seeking German food. (Though, to be fair, Rudi's is probably winning that battle.) You probably already know what the cuisine all about - cabbage, sauerkraut, sausage, schnitzel and, of course, beer. Heidelberg has these in spades, plus menu options like catfish and grilled chicken for any non-enthusiasts in the group. Prices aren't super cheap, with most entrees above the $15 range.

Tips from foursquare

Slow service, rude service, we were the only ones on here. Good food but way over priced for the dining experience of it all.
