Description

Houston Press' Description

At more than 50 years old, Midway Food Market is a venerable grocery store with an excellent
butcher's counter. They make their own sausage and cut their own
steaks. Midway BBQ is a little nook over on one side of the market.
There are a couple of booths, but most folks get their smoked meat to
go. Pit boss Joaquin Morales barbecues pork ribs, chicken, homemade
links, pork butt and brisket over pecan wood. The barbecue is
stellar. Skip the commercial potato salad and beans. Plan on making
your own sides or buying them elsewhere.
