Description

Houston Press' Description

Alex Garcia, the owner of Mexico's Deli, has literally transplanted a Mexico City taquería to Dairy Ashford. And he hasn't compromised his recipes to gringo tastes. It's a place to go for great tacos and huge satisfying sandwiches, not for fancy sit-down dinners. But if you want to experience "authentic" Mexican street food in Houston, you can't do any better.

Definitely get the tacos al pastor, they actually carve it

The tacos al pastor are delicious! They come with a yummy side of charro beans. Make sure to ask about their 'aguas frescas' since they have a daily variety.

Tortas are great and huge, split one with someone, and the Pollos tacos simmered in anchiote sauce was the bomb dot com
