Description

Houston Press' Description

Chef Mark Cox lays out a nouveau American smorgasbord in a nicely rehabbed church in Montrose. Entrées follow a theme of light (or no) sauces and eye-catching combinations, and the kitchen's timing on everything from duck to pasta can't be beat. Keep an eye on Mark's American Cuisine's ever-shifting menu.

While there are no bad tables, we suggest requesting a seat in the cloisters or in the organ loft, which now holds wine racks and a few select tables.

Excellent food. Great presentation. Great ambiance. Take your man or woman. S/he'll be impressed. It's great! Also, request their featured mixed drink. It's always good.

Best food in town. Gorgeous inside. Pricey but worth it. Over friendly staff, maybe too friendly at times. And only negative it felt rushed inside. But overall a MUST visit.
