Houston Press' Description

The folks from Reef seem to have struck gold with their idea to serve Houston gourmet-style sliders and fries in a casual, counter-service environment. Tiny burger options at the popular Montrose spot include chicken, beef or black bean. Former Houston Press food critic Robb Walsh thinks they have some of the best fries in town. And if you want to get adventurous, try the Dude, a white Russian-flavored shake with actual booze in it. The interior here is a bit sterile, but patio is expansive and shady.

Sure sliders are all the rage, but put aside your individualistic "principles" for a second and give it a try. Beer for $1.85? Yes, please!

I like the beef sliders best, with the caramelized onions. The fries are good - one order is enough for at least three. The deck is really nice, and pet-friendly.

Is the mushroom slider back? I sure hope so. Don't underestimate the sangria freeze.

Fast-food mini-burger fans love the fresh-ground beef sliders with caramelized onions from local chef Bryan Caswell, best enjoyed with a White Russian milk shake.

Arguably the best fries in town and large enough to share. The spicy sauce is addicting, and will keep you coming back for more.

  • CultureMap Houston on 11/29/11

Little Bigs has some surprisingly decent yet affordable wine options and some dangerously good alcoholic milkshakes that are perfect for a late summer night on the patio.

After going out all night stop by Little Bigs for a Beef Trio with cheese, french fries, and a shake! You will never go to denny's again.
