Houston Press' Description
La Vista is best known as a BYOB restaurant that caters to wine lovers, with an inexpensive $5 a bottle corkage fee. No need to bring wine glasses, there's some on every table. There's also excellent pizza, pasta, grilled meats and fish, all at reasonable prices.
Tips from foursquare
Everything on menu is great! Shrimp and grits one of my favorites. Wifey likes the rainbow trout. BYOB wine is cool!
Enophiles bring their own Riedel crystal wine glasses to La Vista. After all, you can’t savor a Bordeaux red in just any glass. If you forget, don't worry because there’s a great wine shop next door.
BYOWine - the food is AMAZING and inside the restaurant is as nice to dine as the patio outside. Dont fret about stopping on your way there to grab a bottle of wine, the liquor store next door has a G
$10 pickup on pizzas Sunday and Monday's. Delicious!
Great service and decor, and dimly lit. Menu is focused and grilled entrees are fantastic. Sit outside and BYOB. A wonderful view of Uptown too.
