La Fisheria is not Tex-Mex, nor is it like any other Mexican you've had in Houston: Chef Aquiles Chavez makes modern, upscale Mexican food that's heavy on the coastal influences of his home state of Tabasco, in a Heights setting that's vacation-like and relaxing. Try his clean, bright ceviches and red snapper tostadas for something light, or tuck into a bowl of duck-chorizo stew with mussels and a glass of bold Mexican red wine for dinner.

    So goood!!!! I am going back for sure soon, impressive flavors the taste of fresh ingredient cooking, I am recommending it to all my friends and family. Chef Aquiles...you are awesome.

    Don't know why anyone would give them a bad rap. I read an article about a the chef. His influence is Baja California Mexican style and I lived in Ensenada and he is dead on. This food is un real.

    Do not eat here. The service was terrible. The food was beyond disappointing. Enters are severely overpriced. The staff does not speak English, making an already bad experience simply traumatizing.
