Description

Houston Press' Description

Lamb is a gift from a beneficent God -- and if you doubt that, you owe yourself a visit to Khyber. Among the standouts is the barah kebab, grilled leg meat rubbed with garlic and vinegar. Try it with a glass of the house merlot.

What is the ambiance or crowd like? What is the best night to go? Is there a cover charge or door list to get in?

Good place for a lunch fajita! Be warned: they charge extra for additional tortillas and for shredded cheese. If you want the cheese, ask them to substitute the guacamole or sour cream with it.

Always end up here for birthdays! 75 cents margs on Wednesday, 1/2 priced entrees Tuesday, and $3 drinks all night on Fridays. Live music on weekends, complete with tequila conga lines.

Do NOT ask them to make your curry or sauces super hot. I repeat. Do not ask them to make it super hot. ...that is, unless you want your mouth to booty set on fire.

If I ever go vegetarian, the vegetable plate will be the only way I'd be able to keep my sanity. It is yummy.

    Best Indian food!!

Get the lamb appetizer. Delish. And if you're not a super big eater, can definitely split the assortment plate for 1. All of the dishes were really good.

  • Sugi W. on 01/27/13

They're happy to make any Indian dish for you, even if it's not on the menu! I was bummed that I didn't see lamb saag (it's my favorite!) or garlic naan but they made it and it was sooo tasty!
