Houston Press' Description

Khun Kay Thai Cafe opened out of the remains of the Golden Room, a long-standing Asian favorite. Named after the owner, Khun Kay is a slice of Madame Kay's personality as expressed through her food. Dishes are similar to that of the Golden Room, but the restaurant is now has a clean, fast-casual feeling with reduced prices. In addition to Thai favorites, Khun Kay also boasts an extensive vegetarian menu.

Best Thai food in the city!! Deal with it

  • Devon W. on 06/20/10

Everything I have ordered from this place has been DELICIOUS. They let you choose your spiciness level too! The Massaman Curry is my favorite. Followed by the Red Curry (chicken esp!)

  • Jenn on 03/19/12

Avoid the pad thai, it's bland and greasy. Instead go for spicy black bean noodles or thai basil chicken. Quick and convenient.

  • JamieBAM on 04/21/11

This the best thai in Houston and the owners are beautiful people

Steamed dumplings are so delicious. And only $1.95. Two orders is a meal. Chicken fried rice also a steal at 3.99.
