Description

Houston Press' Description

It's a ramshackle little place in a neighborhood that might make little old ladies clutch their purses a little tighter, but they offer simple, home-cooked food like burgers and barbecue. Also random, but interesting, is the painting of Bart Simpson on the outside of the building, beckoning to would-be diners to come on in and eat. However, as it states in the name of the place, it is a lounge, and not necessarily a family-friendly spot, so don't plan on celebrating little Johnny's 3rd birthday here. Look for the good barbecue mid-afternoon at the grocery next door, but be sure to get there during the week before the sun goes down -- they close at 7 p.m. between Tuesday and Thursday.
