Description

Houston Press' Description

The sandwiches and burgers are the stars at the Hobbit Cafe, particularly the Martinique burger, a mountainous half-pound patty of Angus beef with so many messy toppings that you practically need to be hosed down when done eating. We still can't figure out how the Hobbit prepares its delicious tabbouleh, but we'll have to keep ordering it at this little house near Upper Kirby until we can reverse-engineer the recipe at home. It's all enough to make even Smaug the dragon happy.

Cute little place along with great service! I had the LAMB BURGER yes LAMB BURGER BTW YUM-O! My waitress suggested feta cheese and she nailed it, it went very well with the burger. Fruit was fresh not your regular old grapes and apple joint they actually cut fresh varieties of fruit for a nice fresh fruit salad which is a plus for me. I will definitely be returning to this cottage house again.

You can also get a wide selection of burgers and other meaty dishes. They have flavorful salsa and guacamole. In a city full of great Mexican establishments, it's quite a pleasant surprise to...
