This is one of the best new restaurants that's opened in Houston in years. Call it a "New American Surfer Bistro" if you're looking for a category. But don't get too fixated on anything in particular, because the menu changes monthly. You can only hope they have some slow-cooked short ribs and hand-cut French fries when you show up.

When in doubt, go with the “highlighted” wines selected by co-owner Shepard Ross. He’s terrific. Some restaurants around town have swiped his list for ideas. Picking great wines isn’t easy.
Order from the bar menu. The short rib tacos are unbelievable!
The GW Paella is everything along with that Hereford Beef Tenderloin Kebob
Try the Soft Shell Crab - Yum yum yum! Off-menu seasonal delight with crawfish mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. (via @Foodspotting)
