Houston Press' Description
Gaido's has been serving Galveston locals and tourists alike their seafood for over a century, making it one of the oldest continually operating restaurants on the island. Reservations are strongly encouraged at night, as the classic, carpeted dining rooms fill up quickly and will leave you waiting for at least an hour. Expect old-fashioned service to go with the elegant atmosphere, but â since it's the island â you won't be turned away for wearing shorts and flip-flops. Try the soft-shell crabs in season or the parmesan-crusted red snapper year-round, and don't forget a bowl of Watkins' Bisque: the creamy lobster soup with sherry is an essential part of the Gaido's experience.
Tips from foursquare
Seafood heaven. Snapper Michael, Brook’s gumbo and the fried shrimp can’t be beat. Right on the Seawall. Parking is tight in the front, parking lot in the back. Fun waiters who know lots of history.
Gaido's has a reputation for consistently fresh and well-prepared food. There is something for everyone. If you've not dined at Gaido's, you haven't really explored Galveston.
Sen onca deniz mahsülünü pişir, şıkıdım mıkıdım tabaklarda şervis et ama RAKI bulundurma :/ hiç yakıştımı şimdi sana hacı abi :)) bizim milletten gelecek olanlara bir uyarı olsun haahhh :))
word on the street is that Gaido's Seafood Restaurant is the best place to eat in Galveston. Also, the pecan pie is famous and can be shipped anywhere in the US.
Blackened seared Tuna Local from 3miles out! Absolutely to die for! Sushi grade Tuna. Try it Rare!!!!
