Description

Houston Press' Description

This little spot is where Houston's Brazilian community gathers to eat comida caseira, old-fashioned home cooking. By the cash register, there are a couple of shelves full of imported candies, condiments and other hard-to-find items treasured by Brazilians in exile. The mixed grill, called churrasco gaucho, is available all the time.

Definitely get the pão de queijo (cheesebread). The food is very authentic. For dessert, the coconut flan is really good too.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Worth a try!

The best authentic Brazilian food! Try the beef stroganoff!

  • Aptraveler on 06/30/13

This is THE place to come in Houston, when there is a soccer 'futbol' game, especially if Brazil is playing. The atmosphere is absolutely awesome and the food is down to earth genuine! 4 Real.

I love the feijoada and the fish stew!!! It's wonderful!! The owner is always receiving their guest making sure if they are being well treated. Very nice service, food and ambient.
