El Jardin is a lovably goofy joint near the ship channel that was chosen to represent Houston Tex-Mex in an article in The New York Times. Go with the margaritas, the fajitas, and the huge shrimp -- just like it says on the front of the menu.

    This place is where my mom used 2go..I love their refried beans....and their hot sauce is,well..HOT!! Have yet 2b disappointed by this place,tho' i aint been in a couple yrs......

    It's hard to stand out from the crowd when it comes to enchiladas. They are, after all, just rolled-up corn tortillas filled with cheese or meat and topped with a sauce.
