Description

Houston Press' Description

If you detect a whiff of cigar smoke inside this cozy Tomball wine bar, there's an easy explanation: Not only is a humidor adjacent, but the owners allow customers to puff away inside. Cellar 17 is really almost more shop than bar, but patrons are free to linger and sip, or perhaps enjoy one of the periodic tastings. Big, comfy living-room furniture offers somewhere to sit, and racks upon racks of bottles around the room house the bar's inventory of more than 300 labels. Monthly and quarterly clubs offer selected wines and discounted bottles to members. Cellar 17 has a small food menu, and allows customers to bring in outside victuals.

Gretchen is the best wine expert in the whole city. She can hook you up with any kind of wine for you, you and your date, or for any occasion. Robyn, Janitha, and Jenny are also excellent waitstaff/bartenders who... More >>
