Description

Houston Press' Description

The Blue Moose Lodge aims for a ski-resort vibe on Washington Avenue, where the attitude is decidedly warmer. Inside, it doesn't feel a few feet away from one of Houston's busiest streets; instead, the long leather couches and cozy corner fireplace might have you dialing up the Ski & Snow Report iPhone app. Blue Moose offers 20 imported beers on tap, plus the usual liquor suspects. Patrons hoping to assemble a group of friends without too much hustle and bustle can reserve the den with a quick phone call. The bar is also starting to book country and roots acts, in a move towards the older spirit of the avenue.

This place sucks. Shitty service and shitty music, typical Washington.

  • Joel T. on 11/13/10

The chilldisc's built into the bar are the shit. Keeps your beer cold

  • Joseph on 10/13/12

Great place to watch a game. Get here before 8 for happy hour specials.

Just announced the Summer Concert Series with Rick Trevino, Honeybrowne, Stoney LaRue, & Shooter Jennings!

Come for the free beer. Leave when they charge for beer.
