Description

Houston Press' Description

If driving out west to visit Francophile favorite Le Mistral is too far for you, try its sister restaurant in Midtown: Artisans. The restaurant, a beautifully straightforward French affair, is a joint venture between Le Mistral's Denis brothers and their longtime chef friend, Jacques Fox. In Artisans' elegantly appointed dining room, Fox and a team of highly trained sous chefs serve classics such as steak tartare, noix de Saint-Jacques, seared duck breast, boeuf au poivre and — of course — foie gras. A three-course business lunch allows you to escape for a neat price, but dinners are longer and more lavish affairs.
