Aka Sushi House
Houston, TX 77098
Houston Press' Description
The ambiance at Aka is tranquil and modern. The red stone walls and the large white leather booths give it an intimate feel, and the large water fountain will soothe you as you dine on edamame or basil wings. The signature sushi rolls are the primary draw, and beef carpaccio is available for meat lovers. Mango ice cream is Akaâs most popular dessert. The sake is priced from $20 to $100, and thereâs a wide selection of Japanese beers.
Tips from foursquare
come during happy hour. they have so many appetizers to choose from.
Reverse happy hour is from 9-close. Try the agedashi dofu to start out.
Yummy martinis, and my favorite dishes - black pepper beef, aka tofu, gin dara, crater roll, godzilla roll, and the red moon roll. They also have Reverse Happy Hour after 9pm.

My favorite place for sushi. Period. No one can top this place in my book. Great happy hour, friendly service, fresh fish, and good food. You must try the Nautilus roll. Mmm 😋 and request for Zac!
