The Hotel Gansevoort is true luxury in the middle of the A1/4ber-hip Meatpacking District. A great rooftop scene.
The Gansevoort Hotel is beyond luxury...it's rooftop bar has a stunning view of Manhatten. I've been there in the dead of winter and they have these enormus heaters ~ allowing guests to still be outdoors and enjoy the views. The rooms decor is very masculine, dark wood an metal accents. The bathrooms have double sinks, which is one of my favorite amenities.
This is a great hotel with outstanding contemporary design. The roof bar is a must-do in New York, which is a completely open-air bar that has no equal for a summer's night drink. In colder weather they bring out the space heaters. Good star-sighting potential as well, saw Leo DiCaprio recently.
