Description

Hot wings and hotter waitresses are what brings college kids, ASU fans, and other revelers to this downtown Tempe bar. This particular Hooters location offers the usual assortment of cutie-pies in bright orange short-shorts and tank tops, as well as its signature finger food available in nine different sauces. Situated just above Blondie's Sports Bar, it's also popular due to its proximity to Sun Devil Stadium and the great view of Mill Avenue provided by the outdoor patio. If you are coming for the wings, consider visiting on Wednesdays, when a $10 all-you-can-eat special is served. The weekday happy hours from 2 to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. until close also feature $2 domestics and $3 well drinks. Both deals should leave you plenty of scratch to tip your waitress substantially.

Breast-feeding jokes aside, Hooters is a great place to bring the kids. On Saturdays, children under 12 eat free all day, from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. (on a kid-per-adult ratio). And every day of the week, youngsters are greeted with balloons, crayons and gifts -- like a Hooters cup, beads or a Frisbee. The offer's good at all Valley locations, but we prefer the Ahwatukee Hooters, where the management refuses to show kid-unfriendly pay-per-view boxing and other rough-and-tumble television....
