Sitting between Ginger Hop and Kramarczuk's, this inconspicuous basement-level lounge is marked only by the honey bee on its door and windows. It makes for a nice late-night stop, featuring unique cocktails, small plates, desserts, and chocolates. The space has been transformed from what once had to be a dingy storage area into a hip, chic, and surprisingly beautiful venue. Honey is not without its raw walls and old concrete, but it makes up for it with plush couches, luxurious yellow lighting, and a notable low-hanging chandelier centerpiece. You can stop by almost any night of the week to catch some live music or a dance-worthy DJ set.

Early video games were hardly epic. Pac-Man, for example, doesn't really have a compelling back story, and Centipede isn't exactly the stuff of legends. However, over the years video games have grown by leaps and bounds, not just in terms of... More »
Tucked squarely underneath Asian fusion joint Ginger Hop, Honey is small enough to feel like a hideaway. The glowing bar is stocked with top-shelf booze, the lighting is just dark enough to be concealing, and on certain nights you can find something special on the dance floor. Luckily, you have plenty of options to do just that -- its schedule boasts a slew of cool, distinct events that feel at home there, so it's easy to lose yourself in the whirl of cocktails and vibe. There are zero... More »
The saying goes that the best things come in small packages, and the same can be said for House Proud at Honey, a popular monthly house music free-for-all at the always-cramped underground bar in northeast Minneapolis. Don't let its size fool you, though: The deep bass lines and thick community vibe are big enough to blow up anyone's dancing shoes. Helmed by longtime DJ veteran and Celebrity Records owner Bryan Gerrard (and partner Nicole Johnson), House Proud never loses its focus, and that... More »
Though it's been open since 2009, Honey has been the Cities' best kept nightclub secret, and to many it's still considered new. If it weren't for the thumping sidewalk beneath your feet on weekend nights, you could walk right by this underappreciated gem. Hidden in a basement underneath Ginger Hop, Honey is known for its exclusive feel and look inspired by the lounges of Manhattan's Lower East Side. New York native and nightclub renaissance man Jon Provenzano owns the lounge, and also tends... More »
If you like cops that disguise themselves as hipsters, this is your place. Bad service, arrogant-for-no-reason staff, and bad music. If you had the option of going to Honey and getting a root canal, shoot yourself in the face. This place sucks
I'm going to see Amber Anne Love there Friday 1/21
