Hollywood ArtWalk 

Florida’s all-encompassing car culture makes it near impossible to go for strolls on the (virtually empty) sidewalks without looking like a member of some vagrant, dystopian underclass.

That’s why the ArtWalk in downtown Hollywood is so important. It gives you a chance to stretch those limbs called legs that cars have rendered vestigial and promenade along tree-lined sidewalks, stopping in at art galleries and looking over the shoulders of painters while jazz saxophones, violins, and, yes, harps play a heavenly orchestral accompaniment in the background. Of course, you’ll have to drive to get there, but the first two hours of parking for the next ArtWalk on Saturday at the 19th or 20th avenue municipal garages are free, and it’s only $1 per hour thereafter.
