Once a month, after it's cooled down enough at night to step outside and see what's up, it's time for Hollis’ Traveling Tree House and Dance Party, a bundle of weird fun that's a lot like a kids' show but is for adults only. You'll meet such characters as 11-year-old Hollis, his grumpy treehouse, Princess Perfect, Ms. Schadenfreude, Blarg the Murder Troll, and the anarchist banana that's a mandated component of every piece of Phoenix alternative art.
There are also puppets, a hinky time machine, and fabulous musical guests who will, of course, provoke dance-like behavior all around. At 10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 7, give your $10 to Space 55, and settle in for an hour of getting your fragile little mind warped. (The rest of the night's up to you.)
