Hiro's Sushi Express South Beach

The menu at this tiny takeout branch in the heart of South Beach is the same as at the original Hiro's Sushi Express in normal North Miami Beach - and, astonishingly, so are the low mainland minimall prices. Would you believe a 13-piece sushi assortment (tuna, salmon, whitefish, crab, shrimp, and white-tuna nigiri plus California and tekka rolls) for $6.20? Or, for raw-fish haters, cooked combos like chicken teriyaki, stir-fried vegetables, rice pilaf, and a daily special dish - for $5.75? Other, more-exotic items (like spicy Cajun rolls, salmon California rolls subbing sumptuous raw salmon for crab stick, or what might be the world's best corn croquette) are equally bargain-priced. Of course, you can't sit down here, unlike at SoBe's many more glam sushi joints.
