Description

A laid-back barbecue joint that's been in Bellaire for decades, Hickory Pit offers up casual barbecue in an old-fashioned setting. The walls are lined with historical photographs of Bellaire and Houston that offer the place a nostalgic quality. (They're for sale, too.) Food includes big po-boys stuffed with your choice of barbecued meat and fresh french fries, as well as spicy jalapeno sausage, giant loaded baked potatoes stuffed with beef or chicken, racks of ribs, and all the usual sides one associates with Texas barbecue. You can even bring in your own meat and have it smoked for a fee.
