Description
The reasons to visit Hickory Hut are the crackling chicken wings, the long-stewed greens with ham hocks, the mac-'n'-cheese so creamy that your spork slides through it like a hot ice skate through molasses, and the barbecued beef sandwich that's as good as any. Probably you should plan on getting your grub to go, like everybody else does, in light of the Museum of Regrettable Tile decor. But one caveat: Do the neighborhood a favor and unwrap something before you pull out of your parking spot, because fumbling for ho-jos is a leading cause of local fender-benders.
