    Event Review: Spider Mansion

The experience is a good one, but be forewarned if you go on a busy night. We went on Sat the 29th, 2011, paid our $15 and waited in line for an hour. The line wasn't moving. Talked to the lady at the ticket counter and she explained that due to past injuries within the haunted house, the fire department allows only four people at a time into the house now. The small groups are great, but it takes a long time to get to the front. If you have a larger group than four, know that you WILL without question have to split up. Groups of two or three also go through; they do not pair up smaller groups because apparently people don't want to go through with strangers, which is fine but it adds to the slow pace of the line. We upgraded our tickets to VIP ($7 more) and went to the left side of the line up towards the front, where we waited another 45 mins to get in. Those still waiting in line, I suspect waited at least three hours to get through. I wish I had known this before going. I would have gotten the VIP tix right away, and/or gone at a different time or night that was less busy. That said, the various rooms were interesting and diverse and the actors do give a good scare.
