Henry Hudson's is a most agreeable tavern for such an odd layout; the cramped-feeling room patrons first walk into gives way almost immediately to a much larger space. It's bustling with clusters of folks playing trivia and darts, or just chatting over some booze. An array of distractions exists for compadres to challenge each other to non-mortal combat -- video games, poker and the like. It's a fine place to catch a game, as well as a good spot to drink with college buddies when everyone is back in town. This pub sits outside Houston's smoking-ban radius, so be aware that the cigarettes aren't confined to the big front patio.
