Heirloom's tagline is "An American Restaurant," although it's not the fine-dining destination that chef-owner Michael DeMaria's award- winning Michael's at the Citadel once was. Instead, it's a casual setting for upscale American cooking, with smaller portions and somewhat more budget-conscious pricing; most items are under $20. The menu, which changes monthly, is designed for guests to choose two to four courses apiece. Though not worth the trek from most parts of the Valley, folks in the neighborhood will find it a fine spot for dinner.
