This Arcadia establishment is the very definition of what a sports bar should be. HDTVs cover every conceivable surface, including flat-screens at each of its 24 booths, all of which air a wide variety of sporting contests. The owners wear their Phoenix Suns fandom on their sleeves, outfitting the place with various and sundry team memorabilia. A gleaming row of 16 beer taps provides brews both foreign and domestic. And there's shuffleboard and pool in the back, and weekly poker, karaoke, and trivia nights, as well.
Any bar can plaster a couple of flat-screens on the wall and call itself a sports bar, but a true sports fan knows that it takes a lot more than a few plasmas from a big-box store to be drafted as a game-day watering hole. This cheery CenPho sports bar is almost always packed with armchair athletes, people who want to watch the game on the place's 31 (count 'em!) TVs, eat a burger, and maybe play some trivia. The moniker of this CenPho player's paradise is as dead-on as a Dan Haren fastball, considering it ranks far above any other sports bar in the vicinity.
