Harry's offers world-class picture-postcard views out the windows and some equally world-class scenes on the plate. The kitchen tosses in luxury ingredients such as saffron, foie gras and sevruga caviar for a top-of-the-line menu. Do people really go to Happy Hour anymore? You bet they do. Witness Fridays at Harry's, where the hottie-heavy crowd for cheap drinks and eats can be three deep. Harry's hosts a Happy Hour every weekday from 4 till 7 p.m., but it's on Friday that the staff breaks out the free brats, burgers or whatever else they decide to serve the TGIF-ers. With domestic longnecks priced at $2 per, house wines at $3 and a selection of Stoli martinis rounding out the list at $4 a pop, it's hard to go wrong... More »
The view (overlooking Union Station, with a panorama of the downtown-St. Louis skyline), would be in and of itself sufficient reason to sit on the recently expanded deck at Harry's. Luckily, the food -- marvelous chilled soups, perfect for warmer weather, along with innovative pastas and entrées, as well as "smokehouse" items -- is pretty much just as spectacular as the view.
