Description

To local foodies, this restaurant/sports bar sits on sacred ground. Harrison's is in the same building where now-defunct, fondly remembered Blue Grotto once stood. And not only does Harrison's reside in the same structure, it is also owned and operated by Trip Harrison, son of Blue Grotto's former owners. The family has an obvious penchant for creating delicious food, as you cannot pick up a menu at Harrison's without receiving recommendations from patrons at the bar. And unlike most barflies, the friendly bunch at Harrison's tend to agree, recommending the homemade barbecued dishes, pizzas, burgers, and minestrone soup (the same one Blue Grotto served). Burgers ($6.50 to $12.95) are a thick, half pound of meat topped with Swiss, provolone, or American cheese and mushrooms, jalapeƱos, bacon, or an extra half-pound patty. Aside from its spectacular grub, Harrison's also offers 32 bottles of beer and 13 drafts.
