Good things happen at Barbette on Monday evenings. It's is the start of the weeknight happy hour, which runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. through Friday. Select pints on tap will set you back $3, $4 will get you the house wine or champagne, and $5 will get you an "amusement." What is an amusement, you say? We're talking appetizers: mussels in the shell served on a bed of sea salt, delicious French fries with lemon herb aioli for dipping, fresh oysters, and other items that change weekly. Between the hours of 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. you can enjoy Prix Fixe Mondays, where for $32 you can enjoy a four- or five-course dinner, which can be made vegetarian and even vegan on request.
