Great place to take kids, with lots of hands on exhibits. Not a boring type science museum, even if you had to drag the kids there, once they're having fun inside you'll have to drag them out when you want to leave.
The New York Hall of Science in Queens offers plenty of worthy exhibits: microbes, molecules, mathematics, etc. But the main attractions may be on the lawn outside, in Rocket Park, where linger two fantastic-looking remnants of the U.S. space program, an original Atlas booster and an original Titan II booster, along with replica capsules that the kids--and starstruck adults--can climb inside.
