Put this in your pipe and smoke it: If you like your coffee strong and the atmosphere in which you drink it just as pungent, head for Gypsy House Cafe. The specialty here is Turkish coffee, which is a leap for the Starbucks connoisseur, but it's well worth the plunge. The food is good, the wi-fi is free -- and they'll hook you up with just the right tobacco for your hookah.

chillin coffee house
This is a cozy coffeehouse with a cafe upstairs and an open space downstairs with couches, tables, and chairs. The staff are not overly friendly but they are not rude either. They are from other countries so their social skills can be 'different' compared to what most Americans expect. Alas, the place has a good vibe, the beverages (coffee, tea, etc) are of great quality and price and they do have food items, though, I have yet to try any. The space downstairs can also be reserved as a meeting space. The Red Door (non religious church I am a member of) uses it for their discussion gathering every 2nd Sunday of the month.

Performances take place in the basement, where the furniture and layout make you feel like part of a secret society. Since its debut in May of 2008, Textures has... More »
