Red, swiveling stools line the counter of this Flatbush bakery/café. Viands include rotis made with a flatbread called dahl poorie, stuffed with shrimp, chicken, chickpeas, beef, or goat. Ask for the hot sauce, made with perfumy scotch bonnet peppers and mega-hot. There are also plenty of good, exotic Guyanan snacks priced at only one dollar, like codfish cakes, tamarind balls, and mittai-little fingers of fried dough coated with sugar and cinnamon (or try the non-sweet version known as crummar). Sea moss, ginger beer, mauby, and sorrell are the beverages of choice.
